Southern Maryland Celtic Festival

This is the 36th year of the oldest Celtic celebration in Maryland.  The Southern Maryland Celtic Festival and Highland Gathering highlights the heritage of the Breton, Cornish, Irish, Manx, Scots, and Welsh. More than 50 clans and societies have information to share. Three performing stages featuring internationally known recording artists and groups, craft and country-dance demonstrations, storytellers, historical displays, crafts and food await.  After closing ceremonies, join us in the dance pavilion for the evening ceilidh.


Maryland International Kite Exposition

Three fun filled days of kite flying on the beautiful beaches of Ocean City, Maryland.  There will be exhibitions and demonstrations including stunt and power kite lessons, free children's games and activities, and much more! The festival will showcase some of the best kite flyers from around the world. Bring your family for several days of good old fashioned kite flying.


Maryland Traditions Folklife Festival

Maryland’s premier celebration of traditional arts returns The Arts Council presents the Maryland Traditions Folklife Festival, a free celebration for all ages with music stages featuring jazz, doo-wop, West African dance and drum, gospel, and Irish, plus art making with the masters, headliner Lafayette Gilchrist and the New Volcanoes--and more!


Pork in the Park

Follow your nose to the Pork in the Park BBQ Festival. This Eastern Shore staple is served up every spring in Salisbury, Maryland's WinterPlace Park. The festival offers three days of entertainment the whole family can enjoy – all for only $7 daily admission and children under 12 are free! Attendees can enjoy a weekend packed with live music and entertainment, rides and games for the kids, unique craft vendors, delicious food and cold beverages.
