Capital Pride is a multi-day celebration of diversity, cultural achievement, civil rights issues and entertainment by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, families and friends.  The event culminates with a traditional parade and street festival - DC’s largest annual one-day event with over 250,000 visitors, almost 300 sponsor & vendor exhibits, three stages, two beverage gardens, a family area, and numerous food vendors offering a huge selection of various cuisines. Hosted on Pennsylvania Avenue, the US Capitol Building serves as the iconic backdrop to the Capitol Stage for hundreds of performances from local and national entertainers, politicians, and activists.
