Celebrating the arrival of the oyster season and the local seafood industry, the Chincoteague Oyster Festival features oysters all ways – raw, steamed, fritters, singled fried, and more. In addition to oysters, festival goers can feast on other regional specialties such as clam fritters, shrimp cocktail, hot dogs, hush puppies, and Boardwalk fries. Live music, raffles, and awards for best decorated spaces complete the festive atmosphere.
