Bike & Roll
Seeking an adventurous way to explore the nation's capital? How about visiting the city’s most famous landmarks by bike? The riding is easy, safe and a fun way to travel.
You will ride on 21-speed comfort bikes; helmets are provided. Families with children not ready for their own bike can have the little ones ride tandem. Experienced guides help riders safely cross intersections, steer the group to picturesque sites, and point out interesting history and facts. Travelers of all ages enjoy bicycle tours. Cycling not your thing? Strollers, wheelchairs and mobility scooters are also available.
There are several tours to choose from:
- The Capital Sites Tour is a comprehensive three hour tour which provides an overview of the city and an opportunity to learn about the major sites on and around the National Mall and Capitol Hill.
- The Monuments Tour is great for all ages. This tour is also three hours and covers the monuments and memorials on the National Mall and Potomac Tidal Basin.
- The Capital Sites @ Nite® Tour is like no other experience. You’ll see many of the memorials, the White House, the National Gallery of Art, and the Smithsonian Institution, beautifully illuminated!
The Monuments @ Nite Tour is the evening version of the Monuments Tours. The crowds are fewer, the air is cooler, and the views are magnificent. Can you think of a better way to spend an evening in Washington?
